Why This Role is Open:
We are seeking a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our portfolio of institutional buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional facilities management services.
Responsibilities:
Facility Operations:
Oversee daily operations, including cleaning, security, and maintenance.
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans.
Manage facility budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
Maintenance Management:
Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
Work with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and quality service.
Manage maintenance budgets and track expenses.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess potential risks to facility operations.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Tenant Relations:
Respond to tenant requests and concerns in a timely manner.
Manage tenant relations and resolve issues.
Sustainability:
Implement sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact and improve energy efficiency.
Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for savings.
Must Haves:
5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in institutional settings.
Strong understanding of building systems and maintenance practices.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-Haves:
Certifications in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA CFM)
Experience with LEED or other sustainability certifications.
