A regional health authority in Victoria, Nova Scotia, seeks a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care both in the hospital and community settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in following nursing standards and will be expected to handle various responsibilities with patients and families. Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives is required, alongside up to two years of relevant experience. Specialty positions may necessitate additional qualifications.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reports to the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Up to two (2) years recent, related experience depending on clinical setting.
