A reputable marine services company is seeking a Ship's Master to oversee vessel operations in Hamilton, Ontario. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and valid maritime certifications. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage the crew effectively. This position demands flexibility due to on-call duties and requires candidates to be located within the Greater Toronto Area.
The Ship's Master has overall responsibility and authority regarding ship business, operations, discipline and for implementation and adherence, on board, to the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS). Represent the Owner of the vessel in its operation and in the execution of the ship’s business and any acts or decisions made are binding on the Company. Due to the erratic nature of vessel refuelling, all Officers of the Vessel are required to be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and that a flex hour approach to the work schedule, maintenance and supervision of contractors, is taken.
