The Performance Marketing team at Intuit Canada is responsible for driving website traffic, increasing web sign-ups, maximizing ROI, and improving overall customer experience.

The Holistic Search Team, part of Performance Marketing, manages Earned (SEO) and Paid Search channels (Text, Shopping, and PMax) on external search engines. They conduct experiments to improve ROI and identify growth levers. Search is a key channel for new customer acquisition, working with internal stakeholders across the organization worldwide, offering both challenges and rewards in a fast-growing environment.

We are seeking a Staff Marketing Manager - Paid Search to oversee customer acquisition for QuickBooks LATAM and Mailchimp Canada & LATAM. Reporting to the Holistic Search Lead, this role aims to enhance customer engagement and acquisition via paid search, collaborating closely with internal teams, vendors, and partners.

This high-visibility role offers scope for creativity and personal development. You will gain a deep understanding of digital marketing (especially SEO/SEM) and the long-term impacts of customer behavior trends.

The ideal candidate has a highly analytical mindset, curiosity for new opportunities, and a strong affinity for both the technical and creative sides of marketing. You should be comfortable thinking strategically and diving into details. As the primary contact for specific business areas, you will be the paid search team's expert, translating insights into broader business applications.

This hybrid position is based in Toronto, with potential collaboration across global sites including the US, UK, and Australia. It is well-suited for someone with an agency background, experienced in managing market campaigns and communicating performance to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead planning, strategy, management, and execution of SEM campaigns for QuickBooks LATAM and Mailchimp Canada & LATAM, including account setup, strategy development, campaign structuring, budget management, bidding, and invoicing across all Lines of Business (LoBs).
  2. Mentor team members to meet KPIs such as CAC and conversions, including optimization and troubleshooting.
  3. Manage relationships with agencies, platform partners (Google, Microsoft), and others to optimize campaigns and inform product roadmaps, including deploying new features.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—SEO, Analytics, Product, Finance, Engineering—to promote best practices, identify testing opportunities, and develop roadmaps.
  5. Implement campaign optimization tactics—bidding, ad copy, landing page testing—to meet efficiency and volume goals, partnering with local teams for testing.
  6. Audit and enhance data pipelines with BI and Tech teams to ensure high data quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional marketing experience.
  • Experience managing large-budget, multi-LoB paid search programs.
  • Proficiency with SEM/PLA bid management platforms.
  • Skills in keyword research and analysis tools.
  • Data-driven approach to performance improvement.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Tableau.
  • Experience with B2B software go-to-market strategies is a plus.
  • 6+ years using Paid Search tools like Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads Editor, Search Ads 360.
  • Ability to communicate results effectively to senior leadership.
  • Agency and client-side experience preferred.
