Job summary

Family Services of Greater Vancouver is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Directions Youth Services Centre in Vancouver. You will supervise program staff and lead case management efforts to engage youth with tailored service plans.

You will shape day-to-day operations, ensure informed and compassionate service delivery, and actively support diversity and inclusion across the program and organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, youth care, or related field.
• Five (5) years’ experience working with homeless and/or at-risk youth, plus three (3) years managing and leading team members.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Directions Youth Services Centre program staff, including selection, performance management, discipline and dismissal.
• Oversee case management: plans, develops, implements, and oversees client engagement strategies and individual service plans for youth.
• Plan, develop, implement, and oversee the ongoing day-to-day operation of the program with program management support.
• Support the Agency’s diversity and inclusion goals and foster a collaborative work environment.
