Job summary

Youth Unlimited YFC Southwestern Ontario seeks a dedicated youth worker to plan, implement, and engage in activities within a Youth Centre and school settings. You will build relationships, develop programs, and be part of a team that supports youth spiritually, emotionally, and socially.

Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, fundraising efforts, and administrative tasks while upholding organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent relational skills with a professional approach to relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check (Vulnerable Persons Sector)

Responsibilities

• Work directly with youth.
• Attend meetings: regular supervisory meetings, monthly satellite staff meetings, bi-monthly chapter wide staff meetings, and annual retreats/conferences.
• Recruit and work with volunteers.
• Advocate for youth through fundraising.
• Participate in the major fundraising events of the satellite.
• Interact with the public, providing clear communication to parents of youth.
• Complete administrative tasks (monthly reports, policies, etc).
• Be responsible to uphold SWOYFC policies, procedures, and risk management.
• Be involved in training and seeking ongoing professional development opportunities.
