Job summary

Youth Unlimited YFC Southwestern Ontario is seeking a dedicated youth-ministry professional to plan and run engaging programs in church, school, or community settings. You will recruit volunteers, build ministry partnerships, and advocate for youth through fundraising alongside a supportive team.

We value spiritual maturity, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating within a multi-faceted ministry.

• Excellent relational skills with a professional approach to relationships.
• Willingness to participate within a team that undertakes a variety of weekly tasks.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check (Vulnerable Persons Sector).

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and engage in youth activities in a Youth Centre and/or Elementary/High School setting.
• Create programs based on God-given abilities while considering community youth needs.
• Build relationships and develop volunteers and ministry partners who will support you.
• Attend regular supervisory meetings, satellite staff meetings, chapter-wide meetings, and retreats.
• Recruit and work with volunteers; advocate for youth through fundraising.
• Participate in major fundraising events and interact with the public to communicate with parents.
• Complete administrative tasks and uphold SWOYFC policies and risk management.
• Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities.
