Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited in Brampton, ON, is seeking a hands-on team member to manage yard duties, equipment wash, and loading/unloading for drivers. The role requires a valid G/5 license, physical stamina, and comfort working outdoors year-round.

Forklift experience is a plus and reliability is essential. The successful candidate will help with inventory and inspections, ensuring equipment is clean, safe, and ready for rental.

Qualifications

• Valid Class G/5 driver’s license with clean or satisfactory abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Forklift license or experience operating forklifts is an asset.
• Comfortable with working outdoors year-round.
• Mechanical aptitude and/or previous experience operating equipment is an asset.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter, very customer-service oriented and works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash/clean pump and power equipment (generators, dewatering and sewage pumps, etc.) when it’s returned.
• Maintain a clean and organized equipment yard and wash bay area.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment.
• Operate heavy-duty forklift.
• Check equipment for damage upon return, report damage and fill out service tags for all returned equipment.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Deliver small equipment and tools if needed.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.

What You’ll Bring to the Team (Qualifications and Requirements)

• Comfortable with computers/technology (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.)
• Familiarity with inventory systems, shipping/receiving, and warehouse best practices is an asset
