Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a customer-oriented individual in Edmonton to wash, dry, and detail equipment, maintain the yard, and assist with loading and unloading. You will operate forklifts, check equipment for damage, and follow health and safety policies.

Applicants must have a valid G/5 license, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work outdoors year‑round; overtime is required at times. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class G/5 driver’s license with a clean abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
• Must lift approximately 50 lbs and have physical stamina.
• Forklift license or experience operating forklifts is an asset.
• Comfortable with outdoor year-round work.
• Available to work overtime when required.
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with customer-service orientation and teamwork.
• Curiosity to learn about construction equipment and rental industry.
• Comfortable with computers/technology for inspections/inventory.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and detail equipment using pressure washers and cleaning agents.
• Maintain a clean, organized equipment yard and wash bay.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment.
• Operate forklift and other construction equipment.
• Check equipment for damage on return; report issues and fill service tags.
• Follow health and safety policies at all times.
• Assist with fueling, tire storage, or moving equipment as needed.
• Communicate with team to ensure smooth workflow.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Wash, dry, and detail equipment using pressure washers, vacuums, and cleaning agents.
• Maintain a clean and organized equipment yard and wash bay area.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment.
• Operate forklift and other construction equipment.
• Check equipment for damage when returned to the yard, report damage and fill out service tags for all returned equipment.
• Follow all health and safety policies.
• Assist with fueling, tire storage, or moving equipment as needed.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Valid Class G/5 driver’s license required, with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). You’ll be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Forklift license or experience operating forklifts and/or other construction equipment is a definite asset.
• Must be comfortable with working outdoors year-round.
• Available and willing to work overtime when required.
• Mechanical aptitude and/or previous experience operating equipment is an asset.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter, very customer-service oriented and works well in a team environment.
• Curiosity to learn new things & understand more about construction equipment and the rental industry.
• Comfortable with computers/technology (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.)
