Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals in Ontario is hiring a skilled welder/fabricator. Your duties include reading engineered drawings, fabricating and repairing structures and equipment by welding, and maintaining a safe, clean work area.

You will work outdoors in varying weather and on customers' sites as needed. The role requires 3+ years welding steel and aluminum with SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW; CW B stick certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
• Structural fitting and welding experience required.
• 3+ years’ experience in welding steel and aluminum.
• SMAW, GMAW and/or FCAW certifications are an asset.
• CWB certification for stick welding is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineered drawings.
• Fabricate and repair structures and equipment by welding various materials and using welding techniques and applicable welding equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work outside in variable weather conditions and temperature ranges.
• Fabricate and repair structures and equipment on customers’ sites as needed.
• Assist in assembly and disassembly of fleet equipment in preparation for orders.
