Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals in Stayner, ON is hiring for a yard-hand / equipment wash role. You will wash, dry, and detail equipment, and keep the yard and wash bay clean and organized. You’ll assist drivers with loading and unloading and operate a forklift as needed.

The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork. Applicants should be comfortable outdoors year-round, have a valid G license, and be able to lift 50 lbs; overtime may be required and training provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean (or satisfactory) abstract; no more than 3 demerit points.
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Forklift license or experience operating forklifts is a definite asset.
• Comfortable working outdoors year‑round.
• Overtime availability when required.
• Mechanical aptitude and/or previous equipment experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and detail equipment using pressure washers and cleaners.
• Maintain a clean and organized equipment yard and wash bay.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment.
• Operate forklift and other construction equipment.
• Check equipment for damage and report it, filling service tags as needed.
• Follow all health and safety policies.
• Assist with fueling, tire storage, or moving equipment as needed.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow.
