Job summary

FedEx Trade Networks Canada is seeking a detail‑oriented Customs Brokerage Clerk to gather information, assess documentation and process entries for clearance. You will monitor transactions for rejects and release, record data in the broker system, and transmit entries to CBSA for release of shipments.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least 1 year in Customs Brokerage related work, with strong MS Office and AS 400 knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a related field of Customs Brokerage and Release.
  • Ability to understand and interpret documentation related to the Customs Brokerage field.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and office equipment (fax machine / photocopiers / printers/scanners), AS 400 system.
  • Excellent communication, organization, inter-personal, problem solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers information, assesses documentation and processes entries for clearance.
  • Monitors transactions for rejects, acceptance and release.
  • Records data in broker system and transmits entry to CBSA to obtain release of shipment.
  • Ensures all data is correct as per documentation/notice from carrier and/or customer.
  • Responds to all customer queries and provides excellent customer service.
  • Answers telephone inquiries, collects information, distribute incoming calls to the right personnel.
