Job summary

Cole International in Ottawa is seeking a Customs Analyst to support international shipments, ensure timely customs clearance, and collaborate with a dedicated team.

You will review documentation, liaise with customers, and maintain accurate records while adhering to procedures and confidentiality. Experience in customs brokerage is preferred but not required, and the role offers growth within a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Proactive, able to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Customs brokerage experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and process shipment data to facilitate customs clearance.
  • Review and verify accuracy of customs documentation.
  • Communicate with customers for updates and issue resolution.
  • Monitor emails and respond promptly to requests.
  • Perform general office tasks (scanning, faxing, organizing).
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and report discrepancies.
  • Take initiative and assist with additional duties as needed.
