Job summary

Bethany Care Society is seeking a part-time Coordinator of Volunteer Services in Calgary, AB. The role reports to the Team Lead, Volunteer Services and focuses on coordinating volunteers, maintaining records, and promoting service excellence to support residents and staff.

Responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and supervising volunteers, ensuring compliance with policies, and collaborating with departments to meet resident expectations.

Qualifications

• Requires post-secondary degree/diploma in volunteer program administration, human resources, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of coordinating volunteer programs.
• Experience as a volunteer is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia and long-term care settings is an asset.
• Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day volunteer program activities and administration.
• Promote service excellence and support residents through volunteer services.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule, and supervise volunteers.
• Ensure volunteer files, orientation, and mandatory documentation are complete and up-to-date.
• Maintain volunteer data, hours, and reporting, and liaise with Site Administrator/Volunteer Services Team Lead.
