Job summary

CityKidz is seeking a Coordinator of Volunteer Development to lead our volunteer program and grow engagement across programs in Canada. This full-time leadership role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, recognition, and program collaboration to support children, families, and volunteers.

You will partner with staff, community partners, and volunteers to foster a mission-driven culture, manage volunteer data, and ensure safety and quality across CityKidz initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as Volunteer Management, Human Resources, Community Development, Nonprofit Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, intake and placement of volunteers across CityKidz programs.
• Develop and implement engagement, training and retention strategies for volunteers.
• Monitor program expenses and maintain accurate volunteer records.
• Collaborate with staff and community partners to strengthen volunteer integration.
• Prepare reports on volunteer recruitment, engagement and impact.
• CoordinateSaturday program leadership and volunteers during activities.
• Coach and support staff and volunteers involved in engagement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and confidentiality standards.
