Job summary

Calgary Humane Society seeks a Volunteer Coordinator to lead CHS' volunteer base of 650+, across 35+ roles. You will manage recruitment, screening, training, engagement and evaluation of volunteers and groups.

The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, a passion for volunteer management, and the ability to motivate and develop team members in a shelter setting in Calgary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Post-secondary education in Volunteer Administration or related field is an asset.
• Experience in volunteer management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the volunteer management cycle including recruitment, training, engagement, and evaluation.
• Provide day-to-day onsite support to volunteers.
• Foster relations between staff and volunteers to promote engagement and teamwork.
• Coordinate training and group volunteer days and special programs.
• Ensure compliance with privacy standards and maintain records.
