Job summary

The City of Delta is seeking dynamic, creative, and energetic Visual Arts Instructors to teach our recreational visual arts programs for all ages and abilities. The Leader will develop and implement quality, instructional, and engaging classes in drawing, painting, mixed media, anime, textiles, clay, collage, and/or photography.

Programs run weekly during mornings, after school/evenings and weekends. We offer a competitive salary of 31.00 CAD per hour plus 12% in lieu of vacation, public

Qualifications

• Educational background in visual arts through professional development or accredited programs.
• Strong teaching background with experience instructing visual arts to various age groups.
• Able to work 2-4 hour shifts in Tsawwassen, Ladner, and/or North Delta.
• Available for evenings and weekends.
• Able to create lesson plans for a series of sessional lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teach recreational visual arts programs for all ages and abilities.
• Develop and implement engaging classes across drawing, painting, mixed media, anime, textiles, clay, collage and photography.
• Plan lessons and deliver two 2-month sessions.
• Work 2-4 hour shifts including evenings and weekends.
