Job summary

The City of Delta is looking for dynamic, creative, and energetic Dance Instructors to teach our recreational dance programs for all ages and abilities. The Leader will develop and implement quality, instructional, and engaging classes in ballet, hip hop and jazz.

Programs run on a weekly basis during weekday mornings, weekday after school /evenings and weekends. Qualifications include formal training in dance and a strong teaching background.

Qualifications

• Formal training in dance (hip hop, ballet, jazz, contemporary, or other styles).
• Strong teaching background with experience instructing dance to a variety of age groups.
• Flexible, self-motivated, and able to take initiative with minimal supervision.
• Responsible and punctual.
• Strong customer service skills with excellent classroom management and organizational abilities.
• Willing to work 2-4 hour shifts in Tsawwassen, Ladner, and/or North Delta.
• Available to work evenings (starting as early as 3pm) and weekends.
• Able to commit to two sessions (2 months in duration) of instruction.
• Able to create lesson plans for a series of sessional lessons.

The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $31.00 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits.
