Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support US payroll operations across the organization, reporting to the Payroll Manager. The role focuses on accurate payroll processing, timekeeping audits, and compliance with US laws in a dynamic environment.

You will work with HR partners and plant teams to deliver payroll changes in Workday, run audits, and help implement improvements while maintaining cross-border collaboration with Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in US payroll processing for mid to large size companies.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of multi-state, multi-jurisdiction environment, taxes and labor for the US.
• Analytical thinker and team player.
• Experience with ADP (Smart Compliance), Workforce and Workday.
• Bilingual in French and English; strong communication with cross-border teams.
• Proficient in Excel including pivots, VLOOKUP and formulas.

Responsibilities

• Supports the payroll team for all activities involved in the US payroll cycle.
• Gathers and reconciles timekeeping data and processes payroll changes in Workday.
• Reviews and audits periodic payroll reports for designated US payroll groups.
• Audits timekeeping data to ensure Saputo pay rules and US compliance.
• Addresses non-compliant issues with Payroll Manager and HR.
• Ensures compliance with US Federal, State and local laws when processing payroll.
• Audits/processes off-cycle payments and garnishments as needed.
• Balances year-end W-2s and issues W-2Cs if required.
• Creates payroll reports in Workday for distribution to HR.
• Participates in process improvements and other projects as assigned.
