Job summary

Monks is seeking a Temporary Payroll Analyst to join the NAMER payroll team in Canada/US. You will partner with the Payroll Manager to process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for 700+ employees, including contractors, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance across states.

You will handle HRIS data maintenance, audits, and cross-functional payroll projects while aligning with global finance teams. RTO policy may require office days where applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience processing medium to large size company payroll.
• Experience with processing multi-state payroll.
• Experience with G Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets) is a plus.
• Experience with Ceridian/Dayforce and Workday is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong work ethic and adaptability to fast-changing environments.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare bi-weekly and semi-monthly multi-state payrolls.
• Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time.
• Assist with reconciliation of payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Collaborate with HR People team and international finance/payroll teams.
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with latest tax developments and legislation.
• Conduct payroll analysis and research as required.
• Assist in preparing payroll and financial audits.
• Collaborate on cross-functional payroll matters.
• Document workflows and support system implementations.
