Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Payroll Accounting Specialist to join our accounting organization. This position will report to the Senior Operational Accounting Manager and will be responsible for reviewing and processing bi-weekly payroll for our U.S.

and Canadian subsidiaries. Key responsibilities include timecard review, payroll accounting and reconciliations, quarterly and annual compliance filings, and accounts payable activities related to benefits and payroll compliance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or 5+ years of payroll accounting experience.
• Experience processing payroll for U.S. and Canadian entities.
• Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and quality control concepts.

Responsibilities

• Bi-weekly payroll review, payroll accounting and compliance.
• Research and resolve issues; initiate corrective actions and adjustments.
• Coordinate maintenance of the Dayforce payroll system.
• Prepare general ledger transactions timely and accurately.
• Support year-end reporting (W‑2s, T4s, RL‑1s, 1099s).
• Manage Canadian ROEs and vacation entitlement true‑ups.
