Job summary

Dock Products Canada Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to manage full payroll cycles, benefits administration, and reporting for Canadian entities.

The role collaborates with the Swedish parent organization and internal HR, Finance, and leadership teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. The successful candidate will handle biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff, maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, and support process improvements across payroll

Qualifications

• College degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll tax and employment legislation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports and support process improvements.
• Support biweekly Canadian payroll processing, including data entry and reporting.
• Conduct regular payroll data audits for accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with wage, hour, tax regulations, and union agreements.
• Process deductions and remittances of union dues per agreements.
• Assist with monthly journal entries related to payroll.
• Process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and support monthly reporting.
• Support harmonization of payroll platforms across entities.
• Prepare year-end reporting, T4s and T2200.
• Provide payroll and benefits inquiries support to employees.
• Provide ad hoc reports to senior leadership.
