Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Nursing Unit Clerk to coordinate daily staffing for the Nursing Department in Ontario. You will assist in maintaining a safe, resident-focused environment and manage overtime approvals and attendance reporting. Strong English communication is required, and CPR might be needed.

This role is based in a long-term care setting with a focus on reliability, collaboration, and accurate master scheduling. Canadian work experience is not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education an asset.
• Exceptional English communication skills (oral and written).
• May be required to obtain and maintain CPR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staffing for the Nursing Department, including replacements on a daily call-in basis.
• Update the Master Schedule and daily compliments with staffing changes.
• Obtain overtime approval from the Director of Care and communicate staffing needs.
• Maintain attendance/absenteeism reports and notify the Director of Care of recurrent absenteeism.
