Job summary

The Link: Youth and Family Supports in Winnipeg, MB seeks a full-time Healing Home Supervisor to lead daily operations, mentor staff, and coordinate services for youth and families. The role emphasizes a trauma-informed, strength-based approach and collaboration across systems to serve at-risk youth.

Key duties include budget management, policy implementation, staff supervision, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Indigenous-cultural practices.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Services or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of progressive related experience working with families.
  • Five years of leadership experience with teams and programs.
  • Willingness to be on call.
  • Understanding Indigenous issues in child welfare.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with vulnerable children and youth with behavioral needs.
  • Knowledge of strength-based approaches and Indigenous culture preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR Level C required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement strategies, plans, programs, tools, data and reports.
  • Align annual and operational plans with organizational goals.
  • Ensure accountability to strategic directions.
  • Motivate, lead and supervise staff to meet objectives.
  • Manage program reporting expectations.
  • Represent The Link: Youth and Family Supports externally and internally.
  • Participate in hiring and interviews for staff in the program.
  • Promote compliance with Workplace Safety, health orders, Human Rights Act and licensing standards.
  • Engage with external resources to identify future needs and program direction.
  • Oversee performance and attendance management of staff.
  • Ensure casework aligns with program purpose and policies.
  • Prepare and manage the program budget.
  • Pursue modernization initiatives like The Link database.
  • Network with community resources and address external requests.
  • Attend team meetings and training.
