Job summary

Klinic Community Health in Winnipeg is seeking a Counsellor within the Trauma Program to support individuals and groups dealing with interpersonal trauma. The role focuses on creating a safe, holistic healing space and providing therapeutic interventions under supervision.

Requirements include an undergraduate degree in the social sciences (graduate degree preferred) and at least two years of in-person counselling experience; ASSIST training is also required.

• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to chart accurate documentation using leading practices.
• Experience working within an anti-oppressive lens and cultural humility.
• Knowledge of trauma, interpersonal violence, and related issues.

Responsibilities

• Provides counselling to individuals/groups impacted by relationship trauma.
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism; creates a safe space for clients.
• Completes intake, assessment, progress reports, summaries and charts.
• Participates in program development, implementation, monitoring and quality assurance.
