Job summary

The Link: Youth and Family Supports in Manitoba seeks a Wholistic Wellness Helper to support cultural knowledge wellbeing and provide individual and group wellness activities. Under supervision, you will assist in integrating First Nations practices with trauma-informed, inclusive care, strengthening connections to self, family, culture, and community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role supporting individuals in residential, community, or social service environments
• Experience supporting individuals impacted by trauma, family disruption, system involvement, or social inequities
• Familiarity with culturally grounded approaches to wellness and community-based support
• Experience or understanding of harm reduction, trauma-aware, and strengths-based practice

Responsibilities

• Support wellness-focused programming under guidance of Knowledge Keeper
• Deliver individual and group wellness supports promoting emotional regulation and connection
• Coordinate and facilitate group discussions and culturally grounded activities
• Support ceremonies, gatherings, or community events with respectful, inclusive practice
• Provide strengths-based encouragement, coaching, and guidance while respecting autonomy
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality with participants
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align wellness support with care plans
• Assist with scheduling, communication, resource preparation, and documentation
• Model healthy relationships, accountability, emotional awareness, and respectful communication
