Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Transmission Lines Engineer in a hybrid role across Canada. You will apply your PE credentials to design overhead line structures from 60kV to 500kV, perform analyses, and deliver signed engineering deliverables while collaborating with the T&D Lines Leadership Team on major Canadian projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience in transmission projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer in ON or another Canadian province.
• Proficient with design/analysis software and CAD; MS Office.
• Excellent English communication.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule and cost.
• Integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe engineering solutions for medium complexity utilities projects.
• Support management in safety, cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• Solve technical design and field problems through independent studies.
• Contribute to engineering practices by developing standards and guidance.
• Prepare documentation and design basis and test plans.
• Design overhead line structures 60kV–500kV for utilities.
• Provide signed and sealed deliverables as Professional of Record.
• Offer technical assistance, construction support and field reviews.
• Perform structural design and detailing for transmission cables and vaults.
