Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Transmission Lines Engineer to design and deliver high‑voltage infrastructure projects across Canada. You will apply your civil/structural/mechanical engineering background to develop safe, cost‑efficient solutions and produce deliverables as the Professional of Record.

The role emphasizes collaboration, a hybrid work model (2 days in office per week), and opportunities to influence major energy transition projects while growing technical leadership within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in Transmission projects.
• Registered member of a Professional Engineering association in ON or another province of Canada.
• Proficient in design/analysis software and CAD systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication abilities in English – written and verbal.
• Experience in design tasks including scope, schedule and cost control.
• Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe engineering solutions for medium complexity utilities projects.
• Assist project/operations management to meet safety, cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• Resolve complex design and field engineering problems through analysis and judgment.
• Contribute to engineering practices by developing standards and mentoring others.
• Provide signed and sealed engineering deliverables as the Professional of Record.
