Job summary
CIMA+ is seeking a Transmission Lines Engineer to join the Energy & Resources team in Canada. You will leverage your engineering credentials to design and deliver safe, reliable overhead line projects from 60kV to 500kV, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on some of the largest infrastructure initiatives in the country.
Hybrid work model (2 days in office) and flexible arrangements across Canada.
Qualifications
- University degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of transmission project experience.
- Professional engineer registration in ON or another Canadian province.
- Proficiency with design/analysis software and CAD.
- Excellent English communication, written and spoken.
Responsibilities
- Develop safe engineering solutions for medium complexity utilities projects.
- Assist management to meet safety, cost, quality and schedule targets.
- Resolve technical design and field engineering problems with independent analysis.
- Contribute to engineering practices by developing standards and guidance.
- Deliver engineering scope with clients and approve technical documents.
- Design overhead line structures for 60kV–500kV.
- Prepare project documentation per company practices.
- Provide signed and sealed deliverables as Professional of Record.
- Offer technical assistance, construction support, and field reviews.
- Apply loads and seismic analysis per standards.
