Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Transmission Lines Designer to join our Energy & Resources team in Canada. You will leverage your engineering credentials to drive innovative design for high voltage transmission projects, navigating complex design challenges with analytical rigor and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Transmission projects.
• Proficient in design/analysis software (PLS-CADD) and CAD systems; familiar with drawing standards.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design overhead line structures and facilities for voltages from 5kV to 500kV in an electric utility environment.
• Prepare project documentation including reports, specifications, proposals, estimates, design basis, and test plans.
• Develop design work packages with scope, duration, and effort estimates; manage design tasks for existing and new facilities.
• Provide signed/sealed engineering deliverables as a Professional of Record per regulations and company practices.
