SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Based on Investia’s overall requirements and priorities, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a training program that aligns with Investia’s strategy and provides the most added value for advisors and sectors within Investia, as well as its calendar to increase accessibility. You will develop and deliver training and promote the adoption of Investia’s products/concepts/tools in advisors’ business practices. You will facilitate branch meetings, individual meetings, and workshops with advisors and their teams to deliver training content. You will support the implementation of business processes through practice management strategies and provide insight on how to incorporate Investia’s tools into their practice. You will also work toward creating growth opportunities, streamlining advisors’ business practices and enhancing the efficiency in the services that they provide to their clients.

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Training, practice management and sales support
  • Partner with the Vice-President and Manager to develop training material;
  • Build supporting material (PPTs, notes, agenda, etc.) to better structure meetings and increase the learning and retention of information provided;
  • Provide regular operations, sales and compliance related online training (conference calls) to branch administrative staff in collaboration with their supervisor and team;
  • Participate in live presentations virtually or in person for dealer conferences and events;
  • Identify advisor and branch needs by proactively interacting with them regularly based on segmentation of advisors of their region;
  • Provide practice management coaching to help advisors and their teams develop processes and incorporate our tools to increase efficiencies;
  • Participate in the update of company tools when needed;
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of company processes, tools, policies and procedures;
  • Collaborate with iA Clarington’s VP of Sales in their respective region;
  • Collaborate with BMs/CBMs assigned to advisors in their respective region;
  • Work closely with other Practice Management Specialists across the country to share and support experiences, new findings, and general team building;
  • Maintain sales support to iA dedicated advisors of their region;
  • When required, assist advisors and branches with the implementation of findings of audits;
  • Encourage and support advisors for their succession plan in partnership with the RVP;
  • Proactively develop training materials aligned with the strategy and analyze sector needs that will add value for advisors and Investia through various sources of information.
  • Encourage products, concepts, and tools that align with the company’s objectives and initiatives, supporting the growth of overall assets under management.
  • Identify advisors’ growth opportunities;
  • Contact and meet with identified branches, groups or individual advisors;
  • Promote changes and improvements in advisors’ business practices to optimize their processes, while supporting their continuous growth and adaptation in a constantly evolving environment;
  • Provide support and training to administrative assistants when needed.
  • Liaise with head office managers or staff to efficiently, and effectively, manage escalation of issues from advisors or branches to ensure resolution in a timely and effective manner.
  • Be in charge of projects related to the arrival and transition of new groups or individual advisors within their region. The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include:
  • When needed, assist the Regional Vice-President in the recruitment of new groups or individual advisors by facilitating presentation and answering questions on operational processes, systems, etc.
  • Attend welcome meetings;
  • Provide training on Univeris, tools and procedures to groups;
  • In collaboration with the Transition team, ensure continuity of support to advisors/branches placed under their care until they fit within the Investia business model.

You will work in a fast-paced environment where products and services are fast evolving and where you need to keep up to date on changes or new initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Fluently in French
  • Very good knowledge of financial products and services
  • Very good knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Very good knowledge of the insurance sector
  • Canadian Investment Funds Course (IFIC), an asset
  • Canadian Investment Funds Operations Course, an asset
  • Leadership, self-confidence, initiative, autonomy, team player
  • Strong professional oral and written communication skills (including presentation and facilitation skills)
  • Bilingual
  • Strong interpersonal relationship, diplomatic and negotiation skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and adaptability depending on the stakeholder
