Job summary

The Salvation Army International in Ottawa is seeking a Toy Mountain Supervisor to oversee daily campaign operations onsite. You will manage admin, sorting, receiving and packing of toys, and supervise staff and volunteers across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include recruiting/training, volunteer scheduling, coordinating toy pickups, and ensuring accurate documentation for payroll and campaign postmortem analysis. This is a full-time onsite role with an emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of supervision experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with email/internet-based programs.
• Valid Ontario G driver’s license with a clean abstract dated within the last 30 days.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organization and detail orientation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adhere to OH&S policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day Toy Mountain operations, ensuring efficient admin, sorting, setup, receiving and packing of toys.
• Recruit and train Toy Mountain workers and coordinate with referral agencies and satellite locations.
• Create volunteer schedules with the Ottawa Booth Centre to supplement staff coverage.
• Coordinate with community partners for toy pickups and support PR/ promotional efforts.
• Direct staff/volunteers on daily tasks and maintain toy inventory and records.
• Prepare weekly timesheets, post-campaign data, and compilation of postmortems.
