Job summary

The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory is seeking a Temporary full-time Volunteer Coordinator to lead recruitment, onboarding and scheduling for Christmas Campaign volunteers in Kingston. You will oversee a diverse team handling toy drives, hampers, and distribution, ensuring smooth operations and volunteer satisfaction.

You will coordinate training, maintain communications, and support program staff while upholding OH&S policies and Salvation Army standards during holiday activities.

Qualifications

• Completed High School or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of prior related experience in community-based programs or equivalent.
• Experience with WORD and EXCEL and general office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteers through postings, outreach, and networks.
• Supervise and onboard volunteers; maintain schedules and point of contact.
• Coordinate logistics for toy drives, hampers, and distribution sites.
