Job summary

Sysco is recruiting for a field sales role in the Scarborough area. The candidate will prospect and qualify leads, research customer needs, and develop tailored product solutions while staying informed about market trends and competitors.

You will drive to customer accounts, handle deliveries, manage AR with the credit department, and participate in meetings and training. Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Willing to travel 75%.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify leads based on company account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and develop tailored product and service solutions.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend relevant products.
• Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors.
• Answer customer inquiries about products, pricing, availability, and usage.
• Provide product information and training to customer personnel.
• Drive to customer accounts, conventions, and meetings.
• Manage accounts receivable, working with the credit department.
• Manage deliveries and troubleshoot order issues.
• Participate in company functions, promotions, and customer events.
• Attend sales and district meetings.
• Engage in ongoing training.
• Assist with training new employees.
• Review and analyze sales reports and data.
