Territory Sales Manager

Overview:

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for aggregate sales, marketing, & strategy development in the Okanagan. This individual will achieve sales objectives and improve overall profitability. This role will be responsible for customer base expansion, driving revenue performance, achieving sales & financial goals while focusing on high quality customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve volume/market share and price/profitability objectives by plant, product, and customer/market segment.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of sales & marketing strategies, including market share analysis.
  • Execute and meet objectives of the Sales Force Effectiveness Program and utilize the Customer Relationship Management tool.
  • Identify and understand current and unmet needs for existing and potential customers and translate into sales opportunities.
  • Establish effective relationships with the customers based on quality products, services and convenience.
  • Identify the source of competitive supply into the respective territory and continuously monitor competitor activity.
  • Proactively track and manage construction activity in the territory and identify relevant issues that may affect product supply.
  • Coordinate closely with other product line personnel to ensure effective customer and market coordination.
  • Document & communicate customer complaints and work with the Customer Service team to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for generating “right-first-time” invoices through effective utilization of the quotation/billing system.
  • Lead and promote Lafarge Health & Safety commitment with customers and haulers.

Qualification Profile:

  • A post-secondary education in engineering or business is preferred.
  • Three to five years of relevant construction materials experience.
  • Excellent people skills – able to develop effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer and systems skills (Microsoft Suite, Google Platform, sales and business systems).

What We Offer:

  • Base Salary: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00
  • Bonus Eligibility: up to 20% of base salary
  • Benefits: This position offers a comprehensive flexible benefits package, participation in a defined contribution pension plan, and a company-provided vehicle or vehicle allowance.
