Job summary

Required are a secondary school diploma and a 2-year college diploma in a related field, plus 2 years experience with children with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year college diploma in a related field (DSW, CYW, SSW or university degree in child-related field).
• 2 years of relevant experience with children with disabilities or learning difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a classroom with specific needs in development, physical, or behavioural areas.
• Assist in a special education classroom setting and contribute to the educational program.
• Support students' academic development and respond to their physical, emotional and hygienic needs.
• Collaborate as part of a school team to assist the assigned student(s) and classroom.
