Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) seeks an Educational Assistant for a 100% term, 35 hours/week position. The role supports students with exceptional needs under the principal, including ASD, developmental disabilities, and related therapies.

The successful candidate will hold a college diploma in Developmental Services Worker or Child and Youth Care, with 1–2 years of related school-based experience. First Aid is an asset; training in NVCI/TCI/BMS is preferred.

Competenze

• Community college diploma in Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Care/Worker or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of related experience with school-aged special needs children.
• First Aid certification is an asset; NVCI/TCI/BMS training is a plus.

Mansioni

• Provide support to students with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with therapies, pool activities, mobility and daily living tasks as needed.
• Modify programs to support learning and handle confidential information appropriately.
