A current OCSB employee would apply via ATE and candidates must meet education and experience requirements. The annual hourly wage ranges from $26.24 to $32.41 plus 4% vacation pay.

Formación

• Secondary school diploma required.
• Two-year community college diploma in a related field (e.g., DSW, CYW, SSW or university degree in a child-related field) required.
• Two years of relevant experience working with children with various disabilities or learning difficulties is required.

Responsabilidades

• Under the direction of the school principal and classroom teacher, provide support in the students’ academic development and respond to physical, emotional and hygienic needs.
• Work in a special education classroom (social adjustment, communication, learning disability).
• Act as a team member in areas that directly assist the assigned student(s) or contribute to the educational program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
