Save-On-Foods in Prince Rupert, BC, is hiring a Temporary Department Manager, Deli. You will lead the department, coach the team, and ensure Always Customer First service while maintaining health and safety, food safety, and merchandising standards.

You will report KPIs to the management team and drive inventory control. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of retail experience; Food Safe Certification; post-secondary business education is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Leading the department, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
• Delivering operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, and merchandising.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training, performance management, rewards/recognition, and succession planning.
• Reviewing and analyzing financial reports, identifying opportunities to improve performance, and presenting KPIs to the management team.
• Leading inventory counts/period end of the department and resolving issues as required.
