Alberta Health Services seeks a Telecommunications Officer to monitor radio activity and relay critical information for Protective Services Officers at Alberta Hospital Edmonton. You will link emergency and non-emergency assistance and support operations across sites with a focus on rapid, accurate communication.
Strong customer service experience and excellent English language skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and email.
As the Telecommunications Officer, you will monitor radio activity to maintain awareness of field activities, ensure pertinent operational information is shared and provide an immediate link to emergency and non-emergency assistance on behalf of Protective Services Officers.
Completion of Grade 12.Completion of certificate or diploma related to Emergency Communications and Response, Law Enforcement, Security or Criminology.
Additional Required Qualifications:High level of experience with Microsoft Office and email required. Demonstrated telephone skills are required. 3 – 5 years’ experience in a customer service environment. Requires a high degree of customer service, problem solving, interpersonal skills and critical thinking. Must have demonstrated experience resolving complex client issues. Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal is required; superior active listening and interpretative skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:Valid First Aid certificate, BCLS-HCP training.
