Job summary

Bennett Jones is seeking a Technology Learning Specialist in Calgary to design and deliver tech education for professionals. The role focuses on adoption, engagement, and impact across the firm through engaging sessions, videos, and LMS resources.

The successful candidate will design learning programs, onboard staff and lawyers, and collaborate with experts to drive technology adoption and efficiency. Strong communication and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technology education, instructional design, or a related role.
• Bilingual English and French is an asset (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
• Proficiency with video creation tools: Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia or similar.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365, CoPilot, MS Teams, PDF tools, CRM and DMS.
• Experience with training and user adoption of GenAI technology.
• Change management experience is an asset.
• Law firm experience is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly adapt to new software and technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging technology education sessions for Firm personnel.
• Conduct onboarding and ongoing learning workshops for staff and lawyers on firm tech and software, in person and virtual.
• Create and maintain high-quality instructional materials and guides.
• Produce instructional videos (screen recordings, animations, tutorials) and organize the Learning Library within LMS/intranet.
• Collaborate with SMEs to communicate the value of technology tools and gather feedback to close skill gaps.
• Stay ahead of tech trends to keep learning programs relevant; explore gamification and microlearning.
• Test and evaluate new software for usability and adoption; provide system insights to improve efficiency.
