Aggreko plc in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a Technician 2 to join our Service Center. You’ll work in the field daily, travel locally in a company vehicle, perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on generators and HVAC equipment, and support installation/commissioning.

The ideal candidate is a Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician/Millwright/HVAC/Electrician with 4–7 years of experience, familiar with Cummins, Volvo, Jenbacher, and reading schematics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED is required.
• Journeyman or Red Seal in related trade.
• 4–7 years of field experience with generators/equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and perform diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Work in the field daily with a company vehicle.
• Perform major mechanical work and electrical servicing.
• Carry out fault diagnostics on power and TC equipment.
• Ensure timely repairs within budget and standards.
• Assist, support and train service crew.
• Install and commission equipment such as generators and HVAC.

We are looking for a Journeyman or Red seal HET/ Electrician/Millwright/ HVAC - Technician for our Service Center in Abbotsford, BC where you’ll play a key role in helping our customers power progress.

What you’ll do :

• Work in the field daily, traveling locally in a company-provided vehicle.

• Perform major mechanical interventions / overhauls and electrical system servicing to defined service intervals and in line with standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Carry out intermediate mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnostics on both power and TC equipment
• Ensure the completion of minor repairs and major overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
• Assist, support and train service crew.
• Intermediate Installation & Commissioning, for example commissioning of multiple canopy generators, single containerized generator, nominal temp chiller / multiple AC’s, heaters, compressors etc to LV/HV distribution.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• Journeyman or Red seal – Heavy equipment Technician/ Millwright / HVAC / Electrician
• 4-7 years of experience.
• Experience working on Cummins, Volvo, or Jenbacher diesel or natural gas-powered generators and compressors, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs is an asset
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
• Valid driver’s license and Passport
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
