Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Technician 2 for the Abbotsford, BC Service Center. You will perform electrical and mechanical servicing, overhauls, and commissioning on power equipment while traveling locally in a company vehicle.

This role requires a Journeyman or Red Seal credential with 4–7 years of experience, and the ability to train and support the service crew as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED.
• Journeyman or Red Seal – Heavy Equipment Technician / Millwright / HVAC / Electrician.
• 4–7 years of experience.
• Experience with Cummins/Volvo/Jenbacher diesel or gas generators and compressors is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work in the field daily, traveling locally in a company-provided vehicle.
• Perform major mechanical interventions / overhauls and electrical system servicing to defined service intervals and SOPs.
• Carry out intermediate mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnostics on power and TC equipment.
• Ensure timely completion of repairs and overhauls within budgets for repairs and department budgets.
• Assist, support and train service crew.
• Intermediate installation and commissioning of generators, chillers, ACs, heaters and more.

We are looking for a Journeyman or Red seal HET/ Electrician/Millwright/ HVAC - Technician for our Service Center in Abbotsford, BC where you'll play a key role in helping our customers power progress.

What You'll Do

• Work in the field daily, traveling locally in a company-provided vehicle.
• Perform major mechanical interventions / overhauls and electrical system servicing to defined service intervals and in line with standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Carry out intermediate mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnostics on both power and TC equipment
• Ensure the completion of minor repairs and major overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
• Assist, support and train service crew.
• Intermediate Installation & Commissioning, for example commissioning of multiple canopy generators, single containerized generator, nominal temp chiller / multiple AC's, heaters, compressors etc to LV/HV distribution.

You Are

• High School diploma/GED
• Journeyman or Red seal – Heavy equipment Technician/ Millwright / HVAC / Electrician
• 4-7 years of experience.
• Experience working on Cummins, Volvo, or Jenbacher diesel or natural gas-powered generators and compressors, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs is an asset
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
• Valid driver's license and Passport
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
