Who we are:
Xolar Inc. is a full service turnkey platform for transitioning both residential and business clients to solar energy. We support our clients with a done-for-you approach, taking them from project design all the way to construction.

About the role:
The right candidate for this technical sales role will preferably have a formal education or training in the electrical field. In this role, all inbound marketing leads will be generated for you. You will be in charge of evaluating our prospective client’s properties for solar feasibility, and to design the best solar installation possible for them, ultimately leading to closing sales. You will be expected to educate customers about the programs and incentives available, and to assist them in making an educated decision. This technical sales role is an excellent opportunity to further your career in the renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Ensure that solar will be the right fit for each potential customer.
  2. Educate prospective customers about the programs & incentives that are available to them.
  3. Educate prospective customers about all the different tech available, and benefits of going solar.
  4. Prepare a tailor-made solar design for each customer, that is catered to their personal energy usage.
  5. Commit to becoming a technical expert with the products and services that we offer.
  6. Report to sales leadership on a weekly and quarterly basis.
  7. Keep client files in the CRM up to date, practicing good data hygiene.

Qualifications:

  1. Formal education in electrical field is preferred.
  2. Ability to do basic math quickly, and discuss numbers easily.
  3. Computer proficiency, able to learn new software quickly.
  4. Experience using customer relationship software.
  5. Prior experience in sales, especially high ticket direct to consumer sales.
