Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Technical Leader in Software Development for its Splunk engineering team. You will design and deliver scalable backend services on the Splunk Cloud Platform, guiding cross-functional teams and shaping the platform’s evolution with AI-powered capabilities.

You’ll work with engineers and architects to ensure performance, reliability, and scale, including on-call rotations and cross-organizational initiatives spanning metrics, events, logs, and traces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, or related field with 8+ years of exp; or advanced degrees with fewer years.
• Experience designing, developing, and operating backend services in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
• Experience architecting scalable distributed systems for high-volume workloads.
• Hands-on backend development with Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience providing technical leadership on software projects.

Responsabilités

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs on Splunk Cloud Platform.
• Drive technical execution with engineers, managers, and architects to define solutions.
• Develop monitoring and AI-powered capabilities for proactive diagnostics and remediation.
• Shape platform evolution by building integrations across metrics, events, logs, and traces.
• Ensure production reliability via troubleshooting, incident resolution, and 24/7 on-call rotation.
