DBNC is seeking a hands‑on Technical Customer Support / Vendor Coordinator for construction materials. You will call vendors, gather quotes, clarify specs, and move requests from inquiry to order while learning technical language quickly.
This in‑office role at 3660 Hurontario Street in Mississauga offers standard 9‑5 hours, with early starts possible, and requires clear English communication, strong organization, and ownership of follow‑through to prevent stalled projects.
DBNC is looking for a sharp communicator who can get on the phone with vendors, learn fast, ask smart questions, and move construction purchasing forward.
This is not a call centre role, and it is not a senior supply-chain role. It is a hands‑on coordination role for someone who can speak clearly, build rapport, pick up technical language quickly, and turn messy material requests into quotes, decisions, orders, and follow‑through.
A lot of purchasing problems get solved by the person who is willing to call the right vendor, ask the right questions, learn the product language, and keep the request moving. You might start a call knowing very little about a generator, control, fridge, fitting, or specialty material. By the second call, you should be able to use what you learned, sound credible, and get better answers.
You will help DBNC build stronger vendor relationships, get better pricing and timelines, and make sure construction‑related requests do not stall because information is unclear or nobody owned the follow‑up.
You do not need deep procurement experience. We are open to people from technical customer support, inside sales, project coordination, estimating, construction admin, engineering, architecture, materials, technical products, or other roles where you had to learn detailed information and explain it clearly.
Construction or materials knowledge is a plus, but it is not the main requirement. The main requirement is that you can think critically, learn fast, communicate well, and keep ownership until the request is finished.
You will work directly with a hands‑on team where your calls, judgment, and follow‑through matter. The environment is personal, practical, and less corporate. You will also be involved as a subject‑matter user while DBNC builds internal technology around this role, with the goal of removing boring paperwork and keeping the work focused on communication, problem‑solving, and vendor relationships.
DBNC also holds company parties twice per year and values people who want to grow with the team, improve the work, and take real ownership.
This is a full‑time permanent, in‑office role at 3660 Hurontario Street. Standard hours are 9-5, with an earlier start possible if preferred. The role is office‑based, with construction activity in the same building when site context or material verification is needed. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
