Job summary

Connexa Group in Grande Prairie, AB seeks a Survey Assistant to support surveying oilfield and construction sites across Western Canada. The role involves field work, occasional 21-day shifts, and learning with an innovative geomatics team.

You will assist with GPS data collection, equipment maintenance, and safety awareness while coordinating with the Crew Chief and clients. A high school diploma and outdoor work readiness are expected, with post-secondary geomatics education a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surveying oilfield and construction sites in Western Canada.
• Travel on extended shifts up to 21 days when required.

• Foster teamwork and clear communication with trades, staff and clients.

Survey Assistant – Grande Prairie, AB ($25-$30/hr.)

who, ideally, has experience in the Survey industry and has the desire to grow and learn with an innovative, forward-thinking company.

The Work:

• Assist with surveying oilfield and construction sites in Western Canada.
• Willing and able to travel as shift work may last up to 21 days.
• Take direction and instruction from the Crew Chief.
• Maintain a safe work environment and awareness of safety issues.
• Perform a variety of survey-related tasks such as use and/or maintenance of GPS equipment, ongoing survey data collection, and other duties as directed by the Crew Chief.
• Build a team environment through high-quality communication skills with trades, staff, and clients.

What you bring to the table:

• A High School Diploma and an interest in the Geomatics industry.
• Post-secondary Geomatics education is an asset.
• Familiarity with the work of a survey crew.
• Experience working in outdoor bush conditions as well as industrial construction sites.
• Certification in First Aid, H2S, CSTS, or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Ability to provide a passing drug and alcohol test result upon request.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with riding ATVs and snowmobiles.
