Job summary

Connexa Group in Calgary, AB is seeking a Construction/Municipal Survey Crew Chief to lead field crews on subdivisions, developments, and commercial projects. You will perform construction survey layout, record precise field notes, and ensure safety compliance in outdoor environments.

This role requires a geomatics degree or diploma, prior crew leadership, and strong client liaison skills. Travel may be required; mentoring survey assistants and delivering clear calculations are part of daily

Qualifications

• Degree/diploma from a technical college in Geomatics or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to liaison with clients and convey survey results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction/municipal survey crews on subdivisions, condominiums, and development projects.
• Perform construction survey layout of building foundations and alignments.
• Survey facilities, layouts, piles, and grading; provide accurate field notes and calculations.

Construction/Municipal Survey Crew Chief – Calgary, AB

The Work:

• Legal surveys of subdivisions, condominiums, development permit applications, and real property reports
• Construction survey layout of building foundations
• Survey facilities, layouts, piles, and grading
• Willing and able to travel out of town when the need arises
• Work is outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
• Follow safety protocol
• Provide guidance and mentorship to survey assistants
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations
