Job summary

Connexa Group in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Construction Survey Crew Chief to lead survey operations on Western Canada construction sites. This role requires managing layouts, piles, grading, and mentoring survey assistants, while ensuring safety and accurate field notes.

The ideal candidate will have a geomatics degree, proven leadership of a survey crew, and strong client liaison skills. Travel up to 21 days may be required, with outdoor work in all seasons.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from a technical college in Geomatics.
• Proven leadership of a construction survey crew.
• Experience performing precise layout and control surveys.
• Experience working on industrial/construction sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The Work:

• Survey facilities, layouts, piles, grading on various construction sites throughout Western Canada
• Willing and able to travel as shift work may last up to 21 days
• Work is outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
• Follow safety protocol
• Provide guidance and mentorship to survey assistants
• Prepare clear, concise and accurate field notes, records and calculations
