Job summary

Connexa Group is seeking a Construction/Municipal Survey Crew Chief in Calgary, AB. The role involves legal surveys, layout of building foundations, and surveying facilities, with travel to out-of-town sites as needed. The work is outdoors in all seasons and requires mentorship of survey assistants.

Candidates should have a geomatics degree/diploma and experience leading survey crews, plus strong communication skills and client liaison abilities. Safety is a priority.

The Work:

• Legal surveys of subdivisions, condominiums, development permit applications, and real property reports
• Construction survey layout of building foundations
• Survey facilities, layouts, piles, and grading
• Willing and able to travel out of town when the need arises
• Work is outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
• Follow safety protocol
• Provide guidance and mentorship to survey assistants
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations
